As I say everytime I do this, I don’t do it very often. The reason for this entry is “my” fence went in today. The reason I say it is “my” fence is becauase I wanted a curved fence and Eileen said who gives a $#%^. Well after many (okay, just a few) bids and prices that were twice the cost of the wood fence we had put in already I said whatever is the least expensive. Then I stumbled (yellow pages ad) on a company called Atlantic Fence.

They came over and I said just put in four straight pieces of wrought iron fencing and be done with it. And the guy who gave me the bid said, “Wouldn’t you rather have it curved so it matches the end of the driveway?” I said something like, “I don’t want to pay extra for the bend” and he said, “It won’t cost any extra and we can do it for $2000.00 (yes two thousand) less than your other bids.” So I said, “OK”.

They went away and today they showed up with the fence. Exactly as promised bend and all.

I’m happy with “my” fence.
