I just finished watching Conan O’Briens last Tonight Show on Hulu (go Hulu!!) because, well, I can’t stay up that late anymore. Wow, what a show! I always liked Conan, and thought jay leno was kind of same old boring. Conan always has seemed to me to channel a sincerely silly inner child (versus David Letterman’s more snide mean-spirited inner child). He said something last night that really resonated with me:

Please do not be cynical. I hate cynicism. For the record it’s my least favorite quality. It doesn’t lead anywhere. Nobody in life gets exactly what they thought they were going to get. But if you work really hard and you’re kind, amazing things will happen. I’m telling you – amazing things will happen.

That captures my whole feeling about life in general. I can’t wait to see what he does next!
