Monday was Labor Day, but it was also the night they showed the Rocky Horror Picture Show at the Hollywood Bowl and WE WERE THERE! Yes it’s true, I am no longer a virgin – I have seen RHPS in a theatre setting. It was wild – 7800+ people all throwing rice, toast, toilet paper, playing cards, shooting water pistols and generally behaving like idiots. Over a thousand people came dressed up (I just wore my splint cast – it was hard enough getting dressed, mucch less dressing UP), but my niece Marjorie came in fishnet and sequins and top hat (she’d done this before, it was clear), and paraded proudly across the stage with all the other costumed audience members. It was quite the experience! Now I’d like to go to a theatre showing of The Sound of Music. We forgot our cameras, and Marjorie’s camera ran out of juice so we only managed a few photos of the event (I need to get her SD card and will then post those photos). *sigh* Still, it lives on in our memories.
