Working hard at hardly working

We spent our last day in Hilo at Volcanoes National Park exploring. We hiked the Kilauea Iki Trail, and Louise with her broken wrist was fairly terrorized by the steep descents on rocky trail. I fell only once (pretty good for me) and avoided anything more serious than a scraped hand. Louise stayed vertical the entire time which was a really good thing.

iphonebox.jpgWhen I went down to get coffee this morning, a fellow in the lobby had a Jesus phone, purchased yesterday at the local AT&T store after he had stood in line since 12:30 pm. He let me hold it (bestill my beating heart!!) and it was as wonderful as I’d imagined. John, the manager of the hotel got the box, and was showing it to everybody, saying, “I have an iPhone box!”

I uploaded the best of our Kona photos today. Tomorrow we head out early to return to Kona and start our journey home. Chuck says if the lava starts flowing tomorrow he’s delaying our return. I’m hoping the lava stays put. There are WAY too many bugs here. I just killed a bunch and there are hundreds more clamoring to get in.
